Football Recap: Chester Notewo Leads Randolph-Macon Academy's Defense on Saturday

Randolph-Macon Academy's game on Saturday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Quantico Warriors by a score of 36-28. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Bo Summers looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 172 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes, while also rushing for 116 yards on only 14 carries.

Randolph-Macon Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Chester Notewo picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Quantico's loss came despite strong showings from Jackson Heater and Ukiah Blair. Heater rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns, while Blair picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Blair was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 52 yards.

Randolph-Macon Academy's record now sits at 2-0. As for Quantico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph-Macon Academy will square off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Quantico, they will face off against Rappahannock County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Quantico will be up against Rappahannock County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
