Louisburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Falls Lake Firebirds on Tuesday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Firebirds from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

Falls Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tess DeZurik led the charge by getting 15 digs and six kills. That's the most kills DeZurik has posted since back in September of 2024. Maggie Penn was another key player, getting 25 digs and three assists.
Looking ahead, Louisburg will hit the road for the first time this season to take on South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Falls Lake, they will square off against Carrboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
