The Eastwood Troopers will head out to face off against the Canutillo Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.

Canutillo will be up against a hot Eastwood team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Eastwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Plainview on Saturday. Seven seems to be a good number for the Troopers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Ashley Salas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024. Valeria Avila also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.

Eastwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now hit at least ten hits in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Canutillo suffered their biggest loss since May 3, 2024 on Friday. They lost 8-1 to Levelland. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Eagles' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Canutillo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Bliss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Canutillo fell to 6-1. As for Eastwood, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1-1.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Eastwood hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Canutillo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.3 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
