Yucaipa won the last time they faced Silverado, and things went their way on Friday too. The Yucaipa Thunderbirds enjoyed a cozy 55-37 victory over the Silverado Hawks. Despite the loss, Silverado still got an impressive performance from Jace Weiss, who rushed for 50 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (105 yards to be exact) went to Jarmarri Tharpe, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
The win made it two in a row for Yucaipa and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Silverado, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
