Highland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds by a score of 8-4. The eight-run effort marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Owen Hyslip was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Nate Huckabee was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Zac Huckabee, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Highland pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Sloan-Hendrix, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will challenge Manila at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
