With a playoff game on the line, the Spalding Jaguars rose to the challenge on Friday. They didn't even let Troup County onto the board and left with a 20-0 win. The victory was just business as usual for Spalding, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Robert Henderson was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 168 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Curt Clark, who threw for 258 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt.
Spalding pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Troup County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Spalding will face off against Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stockbridge will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. Troup County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
