Delaware Valley hasn't had much luck against North Pocono recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Delaware Valley came out on top against Scranton on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Knights. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Holly Olcott was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Gabriella Stahlmann was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Dickerson, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Delaware Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, North Pocono entered their tilt with Wallenpaupack Area on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Buckhorns with a sharp 7-1 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Areilla Bell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Cameron Forgione was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Forgione, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
North Pocono's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Delaware Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Delaware Valley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like North Pocono struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
