The Westwood Panthers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Central Cobras at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Westwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 350th, while Central is ranked 68th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-17, which was the final score in Westwood's tilt against Jensen Beach on Tuesday. Westwood has struggled against Jensen Beach recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Westwood's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jihla Greer, who scored 6 points. Greer scored a full 35.3% of Westwood's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centennial.
The losses dropped Westwood to 1-4 and Jensen Beach to 2-2.
Westwood might still be hurting after the 69-46 defeat they got from Central in their previous meeting back in January. Can Westwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
