There's no place like home for the Central Cobras, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 57-33 margin over Davenport. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-6.
HARMON RANDOLPH continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. RANDOLPH is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. LOVELY GABRIEL was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Davenport lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sorayah Emilien, who scored 15 points along with six steals. That was a full 45.5% of Davenport's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Kim, who scored ten points along with three blocks.
Central's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Davenport, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Central and the Falcons will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Jensen Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Wednesday. As for Davenport, they will head out on the road to square off against the Kowboys at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
