It was a good run, but Avoca-Prattsburgh unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Sunday. They fell just short of the Genesee Valley/Belfast Jaguars by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Peyton Hopkins spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits.

Avoca-Prattsburgh's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Genesee Valley/Belfast, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Avoca-Prattsburgh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-0 victory against Hammondsport on the 19th. Genesee Valley/Belfast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
