Ravenswood has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Charleston Catholic Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Charleston Catholic took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ravenswood, who comes in off a win.
Ravenswood stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Braxton County 68-40 on the road.
Hadleigh McGoskey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ravenswood's points. Emily Wratchford was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meanwhile, Charleston Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 52-34 bruising from Wheeling Central Catholic. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Charleston Catholic came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Wheeling Central Catholic is ranked 201st).
Ravenswood is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Charleston Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.
Ravenswood came up short against Charleston Catholic when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 47-34. Thankfully for Ravenswood, Claire Mullen (who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
