After a string of five wins, Annapolis's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds, falling 17-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kaelyn Clement 2025 made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Bianchi 2025, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Annapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Edsel Ford, they moved to 2-12 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Annapolis will face off against Thurston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.1 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Edsel Ford, they are taking a road trip to take on Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Thunderbirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
