The Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a  rough 69-49 walloping at the hands of Whale Branch. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bamberg-Ehrhardt in their matchups with Whale Branch: they've now lost six in a row.
 Loss or not, Bamberg-Ehrhardt got some senior leadership from  Eric Parker and  Isiah Johnson.  Parker  scored 14 points along with nine  rebounds and six  assists, while  Johnson.  scored 14 points along with six  assists and two  steals.  Elijah Wright was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with six  rebounds.
 Whale Branch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Greggory Gilbert, who  scored ten points along with six  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kj Chisholm, who  scored nine points along with five  assists and five  rebounds.
 Bamberg-Ehrhardt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Whale Branch, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
 Bamberg-Ehrhardt won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Branchville at 8:00  p.m.  on January 19th. Hopefully Branchville focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up ten last Tuesday. Whale Branch won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Royal Live Oaks Academy at 7:45  p.m.  on January 19th. Royal Live Oaks Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the  squad is of course eager to reverse.
