Meanwhile, Fort Bend Christian Academy struggled with assists on Tuesday (Kelly Catholic had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Fort Bend Christian Academy took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kelly Catholic. Fort Bend Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Fort Bend Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Morgan Carter, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Gracie Peschel was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
St. John XXIII's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
St. John XXIII was able to grind out a solid victory over Fort Bend Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 46-33. Will St. John XXIII repeat their success, or does Fort Bend Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
