After four games on the road, Centennial is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet Crofton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Centennial didn't have too much trouble with Long Reach on the road as they won 42-26. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Centennial has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Crofton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Northeast 62-16 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-11.
The victory got Centennial back to even at 2-2. As for Crofton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Centennial was dealt a bruising 49-21 loss at the hands of Crofton in their previous matchup back in January. Thankfully for Centennial, Cora Shafer (who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
