Thomas Doxtader Delivers Best Performance of Season
Lee Williams came up short on Friday despite Thomas Doxtader delivering his best game to date. Doxtader picked up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 80 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 85 yards.
Lee Williams is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Doxtader and Lee Williams will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Fernando Ramirez Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Coconino got the W thanks in part to Fernando Ramirez playing the best football he has all season. Ramirez rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110) per game.
The victory got Coconino back to even at 3-3. Ramirez and Coconino will challenge Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Buckingham Has Career Rushing Day
Coconino was led to victory by Colton Buckingham, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Buckingham threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 68 yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If the past is any indication, Buckingham could be in store for another big game when he takes on Apache Junction on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Buckingham saw the Prospectors), he threw for 196 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Quinn Came Up Big in Lee Williams' 49-26 Loss
Another Lee Williams player making an appearance on this list is Morgan Quinn. He threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
On the season, Quinn has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 196.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging one passing yard per game.

Ethan Jeffs Turns in Season-Best Performance
Coconino was led to victory by Ethan Jeffs, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Jeffs picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 55 yards.
On the season, Jeffs has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 40.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 17.33 receiving yards per game.
