Basketball Recap: Reagan Mobley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Easley

West-Oak won the last time they faced Easley and things went their way on Monday too. The West-Oak Warriors wrapped up 2024 with a 47-32 victory over the Easley Green Wave. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Green Wave are ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West-Oak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reagan Mobley, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and five assists. Mobley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kinady Marcengill, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and four steals.

Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abbi Vite, who put up eight points and eight rebounds. Kimbel Leach was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for West-Oak and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Easley, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

West-Oak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-36 loss against Daniel on the 3rd. As for Easley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-39 defeat against Greenwood on the 3rd.
