Addison has gone 8-2 against Campbell-Savona recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Knights will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Addison's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Alfred-Almond. Considering the Knights have won three matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison got a massive performance out of Khloe Snow, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Snow has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophia Hulslander, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday Campbell-Savona's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against Hammondsport.
Autumn Payne was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched. Payne was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kali Maddock and Leah Loveless did most of the damage at the plate: Maddock got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Loveless got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Loveless is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Willow Koperczak was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Campbell-Savona's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Addison, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Addison has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Campbell-Savona struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Addison's way against Campbell-Savona in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Addison made off with an 18-1 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
