Ryland Besco was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Geneva's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 1-10 when he doesn't).
Besco wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Oros, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Oros is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Twinsburg's offense. They fell just short of Hudson by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Lucas Tinter was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched.
Geneva dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Twinsburg, their record now sits at 15-8.
