The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 88-50 loss at the hands of Mandarin. Trinity Christian Academy has struggled against Mandarin recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Trinity Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Moricette, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Martinez, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Mandarin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ridge Patterson led the charge by scoring 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Charlton, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Trinity Christian Academy bumped their record down to 9-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mandarin, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Trinity Christian Academy and Stanton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Stanton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Mandarin, Mandarin and Viera will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
