The Scott Skyhawks can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Belfry by a score of 58-47. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Scott has managed all season.

Elkins scored eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Adkins almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Brown, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eric Daniels, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makaden Maynard, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Even though they lost, Belfry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 16 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Scott's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Belfry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott will take on Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Scott is on a three-game streak of home losses, Wayne a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Belfry will take on Pike County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belfry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Pike County Central is ranked 70th).
