Basketball Recap: Hooper Academy Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Hooper Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 57-27 victory over the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brandon Fitch, who posted four points and seven rebounds.

Hooper Academy's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Hooper Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-52 victory against Chambers Academy on the 12th. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-7 win against Lakeside School on the 12th.
