Mercedes has gone 8-2 against Weslaco East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Mercedes Tigers  face off against  Weslaco East Wildcats at 6:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mercedes' pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They blew past Donna 15-0. The  win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six  contests in a row.

 Aleeyah Sierra made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. That one hit allowed gave  her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Kristine Garcia was a standout: she scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Rhianna Sierra was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Mercedes  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Donna only managed three  hits.
Meanwhile, Weslaco East entered their tilt with Pace on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over the Vikings.
Like Mercedes, Weslaco East also got a great game from a two-way player:  Aubrey Zuniga. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. Zuniga was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Alanah Bautista and  Avery Cavazos did most of the damage at the plate:  Bautista  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and one  double, while  Cavazos  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  Cavazos  launched this season. Another player making a difference was  Sydni Morales, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Weslaco East pushed their record up to 13-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Mercedes, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
