Basketball Recap: Truckee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Yannik Park and Vincent Long

Truckee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 64-42 to the Wooster Colts. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-34 two weeks ago.

Despite the defeat, Truckee had strong showings from Vincent Long, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds, and Yannik Park, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Park a new career-high.

Wooster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malik Vaden, who put up 12 points and three steals. Vaden also posted two blocks, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lonnie Harrison, who went 6 of 7 en route to 13 points.

Truckee's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Wooster, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Truckee has already played their next contest, a 48-41 victory against Sparks on the 29th. As for Wooster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-48 defeat against Hug on the 29th.
