It was fun while it lasted, but Winnetonka's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Friday. They fell to the Park Hill South Panthers 58-52. The loss put an end to the Griffins' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Winnetonka fell to 6-1. As for Park Hill South, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnetonka will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Winnetonka is facing Smithville at the right time seeing as Smithville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Park Hill South, they will take on Kearney at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
