West Point put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Center Hill 41-6. That result was just more of the same for West Point, who also won the last time these teams played.
West Point's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 21 first-half points. Meanwhile, Center Hill couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. The West Point defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win bumped West Point's record up to 5-1. The defeat dropped Center Hill's record to 3-4.
Next week West Point take on Lake Cormorant at 7:00 PM. These teams both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Center Hill, they will face off against Saltillo. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
