West Clermont has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Anderson Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully West Clermont is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Anderson in Ohio (West Clermont is ranked 23rd, while Anderson is ranked 537th).
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but West Clermont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Lebanon out 55-53. With that victory, West Clermont brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
West Clermont found their leader in underclassman Maddi Fender, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Fender pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Meagyn Riffle, who scored seven points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Anderson ended up a good deal behind Harrison on Saturday and lost 55-36. Anderson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Clermont pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
Everything came up roses for West Clermont against Anderson when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 68-25 win. With West Clermont ahead 35-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
