Daviess County has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The North Hardin Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Daviess County will be strutting in after a win while North Hardin will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Daviess County got themselves on the board against Apollo, but Apollo never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 26-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Daviess County had established a 20 point advantage.
Meanwhile, North Hardin unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 37-14 walloping at the hands of Owensboro Catholic. North Hardin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Daviess County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Warren Central and 2-8 Christian County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 24.3% over those games). As for North Hardin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Daviess County was dealt a bruising 45-16 loss at the hands of North Hardin in their previous matchup back in September. Will Daviess County have more luck at home instead of on the road?
