While losing is never fun, Chanhassen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Elk River is ranked 35th).
When it comes to explaining why Chanhassen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lauren Arnold. Despite the final result, she scored 27 points. The contest was Arnold's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kate Arnold was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Chanhassen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Elk River, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chanhassen will take on Academy of Holy Angels at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for Elk River, they will play host again and welcome Minnetonka, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on December 13th.
