Franklin had to endure a 22-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Elliot Christian Eagles with a 47-42 win on Saturday. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Elliot Christian still got an impressive performance from Jeremy Nielsen, who posted 20 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That was a full 47.6% of Elliot Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Kirby, who put up two points and ten rebounds.

Franklin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Elliot Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will venture away from home to face off against Chavez at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elliot Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Ben Holt College Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Elliot Christian likes a good challenge.
