Colorado Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Colorado Academy faced Forge Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Colorado Academy fell just short of Forge Christian by a score of 57-54. Colorado Academy has not had much luck with Forge Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy strolled past Westminster with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 54-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eagle Ridge Academy.
Eagle Ridge Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Garcia, who scored eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Pendleton, who scored 12 points.
Colorado Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Colorado Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Eagle Ridge Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 66-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colorado Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
