Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association and TEACH Homeschool are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2023, but likely not for long. The Patriots will host the Beach Breakers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association beat Hampton Roads Academy 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Mike BARDER looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Tim SEITZ was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Collin FELTS, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, TEACH Homeschool came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Southampton Academy 5-3.
Jordan Pyles made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Pyles was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).
Pyles wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Zach Daniels, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
TEACH Homeschool's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.
Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association took their victory against TEACH Homeschool in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score.
