The Pavilion Golden Gophers had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 63-47 fall against Byron-Bergen. Pavilion has not had much luck with Byron-Bergen recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Byron-Bergen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Baubie, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Martin, who scored 12 points along with 6 steals.
Pavilion's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Byron-Bergen, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Pavilion will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Avon at 7:00 p.m. Byron-Bergen won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fillmore at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
