After three games on the road, University Christian is heading back home. The University Christian Christians and the ED White Commanders will face off at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
University Christian suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Creekside by a score of 42-39.
Meanwhile, ED White unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Atlantic Coast by a score of 55-52. While losing is never fun, ED White can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Atlantic Coast is ranked 121st).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Falisa White, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. White is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Karli Torres, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
University Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for ED White, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Everything came up roses for University Christian against ED White in their previous meeting back in November of 2018 as the squad secured a 54-17 win. Does University Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will ED White turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
