L Cornett made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three doubles, four RBI, and one triple while going 4-for-5. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, L Tharp was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Breanna Jones was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Concord always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview only posted an OBP of .406.

Concord will square off against Cotter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkview, they will face off against Nettleton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
