Football Recap: Jacksonville Piles Up the Points Against Lincoln

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jacksonville). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 77-0 win over the Lincoln Railsplitters. Considering the Crimsons have won four games by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Terrion Jackson and Darren Henry. Jackson rushed for 129 yards and two scores while Henry rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 129 rushing yards gave Jackson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braden Hutchinson, who rushed for 41 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Jacksonville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 432 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 196 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Jacksonville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Jacksonville will head out to face off against Richland County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 857 yards in their previous games. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
