Saraland can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They breezed by McGill-Toolen on the road to the tune of 70-27. With Saraland ahead 56-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saraland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Dees, who picked up 151 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Santae McWilliams Jr. was another key contributor, rushing for 87 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even though Calera scored an imposing 31 points last Thursday, McAdory still came out on top. McAdory secured a 35-31 W over Calera. The win was just what McAdory needed coming off of a 48-21 defeat in their prior contest.
McAdory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micah Ruffin, who threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was JaCorey Whitted, who picked up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Saraland's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for McAdory, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
