The Wekiva Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 47-28 bruising from Windermere Prep.
Wekiva lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Senaia Asanya, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Tierra Coleman was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Wekiva has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Windermere Prep, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wekiva will challenge Winter Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windermere Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Spruce Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
