It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kenston Forest had no problem doing just that  on Monday. Everything went their way against the Southampton Academy Raiders as they made off with  a  14-2 win. The Kavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Aubrey Mayton (2026) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   one  hit. Mayton (2026) was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  Palyn Marker (2027) was a standout: she got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Kelsey Marshall, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
Kenston Forest pushed their record up to 18-6 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Southampton Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-9-1.
