On Friday, Oakville are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Parkway West at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Oakville, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Oakville couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-40 punch to the gut against Hazelwood West last Friday.
Parkway West had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last week, breezing past Parkway South 35-0.
Parkway West's win lifted them to 1-0 while Oakville's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Parkway West can add another positive mark to their record or if Oakville can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Parkway West's step.
