The Greenwood Rangers won the last time they faced the Odessa Bronchos, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Greenwood came out on top against Odessa by a score of 63-54. Given Greenwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Odessa is ranked 801st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Greenwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Presley, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Pierce, who scored 16 points.
Greenwood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Odessa, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
