Skyline is 2-8 against the Panthers and Pantherettes since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Skyline Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes at 6:30 p.m. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Panthers and Pantherettes are ranked first).
Last Friday, Skyline suffered a tough 73-52 loss at the hands of the Longhorns. Skyline has not had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Duncanville can now show off 20 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Mansfield, posting a 93-18 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Duncanville as they're now sitting on five straight.
Duncanville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chloe Mann out in front who scored 19 points along with four steals. Mann continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Mariah Clayton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Skyline dropped their record down to 15-18 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Duncanville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.
Skyline was taken down by the Panthers and Pantherettes 84-41 in their previous matchup back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Skyline was down 55-19.
