2A District 7 recap Nov. 7, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Jupiter Christian, who took down 500th ranked Coral Springs Christian, 50-24.
The win marks fourth in a row for the Glades Day.
Summit Christian's dynamic duo of Noah Arterburn and Laron Brewster proved tough for Highlands Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Arterburn threw for 271 yards and two touchdowns and Brewster had 214 yards receiving. Jason Owiti helped Summit Christian's passing attack out by catching six balls for 36 yards.
Arelious Burns was the most productive running back in 2A District 7 this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 180 yards as the Knights fell to the Knights. Dorian Cowart also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
5-foot-11 quarterback Arterburn of Summit Christian is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1385. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. On the ground, Highlands Christian's Burns has rushed for 968 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Audet. The Highlands Christian star has 20 catches for 459 yards.
In 116 carries Isaac Wolf has accumulated 929 yard this year.
Nathan Revell's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Ted Knapp's team. Burns in the win.
