Fans got a thrill when Moore Deion and Sam Franklin connected against Crystal River. The longest such play in 6A District 5 this season, the connection resulted in 80 yards.
Citrus took down the Pirates 50-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Deion threw for 165 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 58 yards during the win.
Washington Tyrick was the best running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 122 yards as the Hurricanes fell to Trinity Christian. Teammate Waters Nile added to the ground attack by rushing for 52 yards.
The Knights' Adam Robles and Jamerson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Robles has thrown for 2,119 yards this season, while Jamerson has 66 catches for 1,171 yards. Tony James from Gainesville leads the league in rushing with 1,035 yards.
Citrus led 6A District 5 in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Crystal River. Deion ran for 58 yards in the win.
