1A Conference 12 recap September 4, 2013
North Duplin's Daron Goodman recorded the longest rushing play in 1A Conference 12 this season in his game against Northside last week. Goodman's team beat Northside as he sprinted for 96 yards on the play and finished with 215 in all.
Fans got a thrill when Michael Wooten and Malcolm Best connected against Midway. The connection was good for 61 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Princeton's dynamic duo of Wooten and Best proved to be unstoppable against the Raiders, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wooten threw for 229 yards and Best had 61 yards receiving. Tanner Woodard helped Princeton's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 48 yards.

The Bulldogs' Wooten and Woodard have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wooten has thrown for 375 yards this season, while Woodard, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 10 catches for 97 yards. Goodman from Hugh Martin's team leads the league in rushing with 399 yards.
Rosewood scaled the state rankings by moving to 295 from 330 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles were able to make move up by beating Southside 41-24.
