Waldron has gone 8-2 against Edinburgh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mohawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Waldron turned things around against Morristown on Friday. They came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 6-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Charlie Fischer made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Troy Atwood, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of J.D. Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Waldron always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Edinburgh entered their tilt with Columbus Christian on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Crusaders 22-8.
Like Waldron, Edinburgh also got a great game from a two-way player: Cole White. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. White was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Edinburgh let Ayden Swallows and Milas Burkman run wild. Swallows got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Burkman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Burkman is becoming a predictor of Edinburgh's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-12 when he doesn't). Carter Mead-Whited was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Edinburgh's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Waldron, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Waldron has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Edinburgh struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Waldron was able to grind out a solid win over Edinburgh when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. Do the Mohawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
