The Master's Academy Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 40-1 win over Florida Prep. The win was some much needed relief for Master's Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Carissa Hennessey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 12 points, 21 rebounds, and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alison Viersma, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals.
Master's Academy's victory ended a 19-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-20. As for Florida Prep, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pineapple Cove Classical Academy the next time they take the court. Master's Academy will head out to face the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
