Peter Broughton put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Wednesday. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He was dominant the last time he took on Wiseburn- Da Vinci back in March of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming.

Broughton's strong effort led South over Wiseburn- Da Vinci and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are a perfect 6-0 against the Wolves going back to March of 2023, a lead they'll look to extend.
