Cousino hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight ) but thanks in part to Nicholas Farr that streak is no more. The Patriots escaped with a win on Monday against the Douglass Hurricanes by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65 with plenty of help from Farr, who shot 53% from the field en route to 21 points. He has become a key player for Cousino: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 1-6 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Kingston Nessel, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and five steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Cousino's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cousino will host Grosse Pointe North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Douglass, they will take on Everest Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Douglass will be up against Everest Collegiate's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
