Carrabec is 2-8 against Telstar since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cobras are taking a road trip to take on the Rebels at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Carrabec got the win against Forest Hills by a conclusive 12-2.
Jillian Robinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Telstar had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Temple Academy 29-14 on Thursday. The Rebels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Cadie Campbell, who went 3-for-5 with five runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Emma McPherson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carrabec hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .412. However, it's not like Telstar struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carrabec came out on top in a nail-biter against Telstar when the teams last played on May 3rd, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
